The picturesque town of Charlotte Amalie is the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands and is known for its regular infusion of cruise ships, making this island the cruise ship capital of the Caribbean. The population is just shy of St. Croix’s at 51,181, and spans 31.24 miles.
